    Gold Coast, mate! (part 3)

    3rd day in Gold Coast

For the 3rd day, we got shuttled of to Paradise Country and one of my favourite places in Gold Coast :D (it was well, the only one that suited my liking, country life and all that :3) which was a 1/2 hour trip from our hotel.

View of the opening of Paradise Country.

Gates leading to Paradise Country :D

Really funky tree that has flowers that looks like the bottle brush my mum used to clean my milk bottle D:

First time seeing real, fluffy sheep :O

Mum&Dad posing next to a vintage gas pump :D

Somehow this is my fave view. I'm an awesome photographer *shiok sendiri*

    Windmill.

We then went into a farm house to see all this cute animals and check out a setting of a real farm house :)

    Lil piggy's :3

Olden days farmhouse washing area. I love this D:

The cousin of the llama. Or was it really a llama? I forgot. LOL.

Vintage farmhouse stove and a basket full of sheep fluff. Lol, sheep fluff.

    Sheep!

It's funny how they're all fluffy and white but their kids are black.
    But it's still cute :3

    Another one of le views.

Gold mine and a olden day water source. And no, I didn't steal any gold. I swear xD

List of minerals that can be found around the whole world. Impressive.

Panorama view of part of the ranch.

Went to the first tourist attraction in the morning which was a tutorial of how to make raisin dampers (cake without any flour) and Billy tea. Plus we got to eat that after the whole show :D :D :D *pig face*

Preparing the fire and inviting the guests to all sit around.

The guide for this attraction then taught us all how to make Billy tea and when he asked for male volunteers to swing the ca around, my sis immediately stood up and started pointing at my dad going "pick him! Pick him! He volunteers!". So my dad got picked. LOL.

This tour guide really did troll my dad by telling my dad to swing the can around 3 times while holding it vertically up with the opening facing the ground and he promised the tea would not spill out. Story short, it did spill out but thank goodness it was cold water instead of hot. LOL.
And when the guide did it and swung the can around 3 times didn't even put it vertically above him. Instead next to him. And he looked at my dad and said "this is how you do it mate."
Trolled by an Australian cowboy D:

Raisin damper :D The guide said he woke up at 3 in the morning just to make it. And he made like about 7 dampers. And it was delicious. No exaggeration.

Billy tea :D Nothing to shout about cause it tastes like normal tea only made in an abnormal way xD

While we were enjoying our damper and Billy tea, the Paradise Country guide were starting up the next tourist attraction and doing the good ol' horse back riding vs. a motor vehicle. The horse won. No spoilers there xD

    The horse named Buddy :D

We then went to just observe a show they were having just for the kids and showing them a koala. So we went and just observed and then there was a mini wildlife sanctuary housing koalas, kangaroos and emus. Deff was picture time.

    Koala.

    Emu.

    Kangaroo.

One thing I don't get it, is how all this animals can pose so well for the cameras?
I guess they had years of practice. I mean like, they actually freeze when they see us holding out a camera and will only resume moving when the camera is not pointed at them.
Wow, even the animals are photogenic.

Sis then became interested and wanted to try opal mining. I was her photographer for that activity xD

    Vintage well.

    Diff types of opals.

Protective gear you wear over your eyes so you won't have the dust from dried mud in your eyes.

The mines have this kind of 'claim' where you can choose whatever number you want and it'll contain a certain amount of opals.
So sis chose 'claim' number 18 :D

Working hard to find her opals like one of the 7 dwarfs :P

The opals are all covered and protected in a mud- like ball to protect their surfaces.

The next step is we have to gently tap the mud-like balls to release the opals from inside.

Wash it in a bucket of water to clean it up a bit :P

The end result: Green and turquoise opals :D

Before lunch, they had another tourist attraction where they showed tourists how to shear sheep D:

Shearing sheep D: And they even make a sound :O

Then it was lunch time courtesy of Paradise Country where we get a meal inclusive of the tour package. And it was delicious!! At this point anything in Australia is awesome.

Steak and grilled fish. Grilled fish was mine cause I can't really stand tough meat that much.

    Roasted chicken :D

Spaghetti and dinner rolls. Mum's lasagna was missing. Hehe.

Dad taking a picture of us before we had lunch.

After lunch was done we were suppose to go to Harbour Town for some shopping were we were given discount tickets and shops which offered discounts to tourists. And to tell you the truth, everything in Australia is actually cheaper than what you have in Malaysia. Except the food, the food here is sorta expensive :P

Had some time to walk and snap before the bus arrived :)

    Olden times typewriter :D

Weighing scale le vintage style :D

One last photo of me and the flowers before leaving to Harbour Town~

Fml. Next time if you're going to travel, please bring along at least something to hold your undies up.

Had some coffee and mocha in The Coffee Club :)

    My mocha :D

    Dad's cappuccino :)

The blueberry and choc muffin. Gosh, was it yummy D: And cheaper than Dome here in M'sia D:

The next post will be bout the last day in Gold Coast. Nostalgic that it's gonna end here in my blog too. *Sigh* someone just help me migrate to Australia :(

    ;'Cause she's an uptown, get-around, anything-goes girl, girl, She's a hardcore, candy-store, gimme-some-more girl.
